Emergency personnel responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash taking place just before 6:00am Monday on County Road 75 near Harton’s Convenience Store between Cedar Bluff and Gaylesville. It appears the driver lost control, crashing the vehicle into a power pole, downing the pole and leaving live wires across the roadway. The vehicle came to rest after striking several trees No word yet on whether anyone was hurt in the mishap.
Just moments later at approximately 6:10am, law enforcement responded to a report of a two-vehicle wreck on the Cedar Bluff Road in Centre. That collision left one of the vehicles in a ditch; it appeared no one was injured.
Both accidents remain under investigation.
