At least one person was airlifted from the scene after being injured in a multi car taking place just before 2:00 Monday afternoon on West Main Street near the Centre Wal-Mart.
According to reports, at least three vehicles were involved in the accident.
Centre Police, Centre Fire & Rescue, Leesburg Fire, multiple Floyd EMS units and Rescue Squad personnel responded to the scene.
U.S. 411 (West Main Street) near the accident scene was shut completely down as a medical helicopter was landed on the scene.
No additional information was immediately available concerning the condition of those injured. We will have more when the official accident report is available.
