More Rain on the Way; Exercise Caution on Roadways and on the Lake; Take Action to Protect Your Property

A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for Cherokee County, and surrounding areas, with what is, at this point minor flooding, ramping up to a much greater level – as waters rise.  Those having property around Weiss Lake should take action NOW to protect their belongings.  Motorists should also exercise caution with more and more roads across the area being subject to ponding or outright flooding; also, anyone that may be fishing on Weiss Lake should take extra care, due to a large amount of debris deposited in the water from the high winds and rain.

The National Weather Service says storms with high winds and possibly hail could be developing over the next 24 to 48 hours.
