On Thursday, Centre Police Department Investigators Randy Mayorga and Will Clark performed a routine traffic stop on a vehicle that resulted in the arrest of the driver, 37 year old Michelle Lee Carroll of Cedar Bluff, on a charge of DUI/Any Substance.
Due to the circumstances surrounding the arrest, the officers asked for and obtained, a search warrant for the vehicle. Upon execution of that warrant – a bag of narcotics, believed to be cocaine, and drug paraphernalia were discovered.
According to Centre Police Chief Kirk Blankenship additional charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia were added.
