CENTRE – According to Cherokee County Schools Superintendent Mike Welsh, a decision will be made on the Cherokee County baseball and softball tournaments at 10 a.m. Friday morning.
All county schools are closed Friday due to flooding and poor road conditions as a result of Thursday’s thunderstorms.
The tournaments were supposed to begin Thursday, but the severe thunderstorms throughout the area pushed them to Friday before the decision was made to cancel school for the day.
Cherokee County High School is the host for both tournaments.
