Jim Cooch, 93 of Centre, passed away Tuesday March 23rd at Floyd Cherokee Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 7 PM Friday March 26th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Nation and Cindy Young officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 PM Friday at the funeral home.

Graveside service will be 10:00am Saturday at Cherokee Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers are James Blanchard, Payton Young, Bernardo Tolbert, Garry Smith, Walker Messer and Grant Ratliff.

Survivors include wife, Betty Forester Cooch of Centre; one daughter, Cindy (Brad) Young; a brother, Bill (Gail) Cooch; sister, Rosemary Hill; two grandchildren, Payton (Kaelyn) Young and Emma Young; caregiver, Tara Dawn Blanchard.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy Robinson, Barbara Ann Lifsey and Patsy Ruth Doran.

Mr. Cooch was a native of Dayton, Ohio and the son of the late Frank and Rosa Chapman Cooch. He was a member of Centre First Baptist Church. He was a career pilot, who served in the Navy during WWII aboard the USSFDR. He also was called to duty during the Korean War.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Carpenters of Christ.
