There was plenty of movement in the latest Alabama Sports Writers Association softball and baseball rankings. The latest rankings were released late Wednesday evening.

In softball, Class 4A Cherokee County (8-6) fell three places to No. 10. Class 2A Spring Garden (7-3) dropped a notch to No. 8, followed by Sand Rock (9-8-1) at No. 9.

Class 3A Collinsville (5-5-1) received consideration.

In this week’s baseball rankings, Spring Garden (11-7) moved up one spot to No. 6 in the 2A baseball rankings. Class 3A Piedmont (13-3) and Class 2A Sand Rock (8-2) hold steady at No. 4 and No. 5 respectively.

Class 3A Collinsville (8-7) and Class 4A Cherokee County (10-8) both received consideration.
