Whitefield leads Warrior bats in 12-2 win at Glencoe

GLENCOE – Tristan Whitefield went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with three runs and three RBIs in Cherokee County’s 12-2 baseball win at Glencoe on Monday.

Connor Wilson was 2-for-4 with a double and a RBI for the Warriors (10-8). He also picked up the win on the mound after working six innings. He gave up two earned runs on four hits with a walk and nine strikeouts.

Haden Wheeler and Isaiah Wood both contributed a pair of hits, a run and two RBIs. Cooper Rodgers collected a hit, two runs, a walk and a RBI. Brian Green had a hit and a run. Walker Pruett posted a hit. Cody Adderhold finished with a walk and a run.

Cherokee County is scheduled to play Sand Rock in the opening round of the Cherokee County Tournament on Saturday at 11 a.m.
