We have reports of a single-vehicle accident involving an 18-wheeler, taking place on Highway 35 north of Blanche at around 6:55am Tuesday.
According to reports the big rig slid off the roadway – causing one lane of traffic to be blocked. The mishap occurred about half-way up the mountain prior to reaching the bridge. It appears the driver was unhurt.
Area firefighters and Alabama State Troopers responded to the scene.
That accident remains under investigation.
