Mr. Jayson McElroy, age 82 of Cedar Bluff, passed away Monday, March 15th at his residence.

Funeral services will be 2:PM Friday, March 19th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel, burial will follow in Water House Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 until 2:PM Friday, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family. Acolytes will be family.

Survivors include a daughter Tommie JaySonya McElroy; brothers, Joe and Harvey McElroy; sisters, Clara Stallings, Gloria Smith, Bessie Jones, and Alphafretta Qualls; grandchildren, Raveen (Greg) Markley, Jayla McElrath and Chris Preston.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gecolga Ann McElroy; brother, George McElroy and a sister, Mary Frances McElroy.

Mr. McElroy was a native of Cherokee County, the son of the late, Harvey, Sr and Cornelia Smith McElroy and was of the Methodist faith.
