SPRING GARDEN – After spotting Sylvania an early run, the Spring Garden Lady Panthers tied things up in the bottom of the third, then scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to take a 4-1 softball win over visiting Sylvania on Thursday.

Abbey Steward led the Lady Panthers (2-1) at the plate by going 2-for-4 with a double. She also picked up the win in the circle after scattering three hits and a walk with nine strikeouts.

Ace Austin doubled, walked, scored a run and drove in another. Bri Boles also doubled, scored a run and had a RBI. Avery Steward had a hit, scored a run and had a RBI. Kylie-Grace Wood contributed a hit. Abbie Woods walked three times and scored a run.

Spring Garden plays at Sand Rock on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
