Pruitt pitches shutout in Sand Rock baseball win over Collinsville

SAND ROCK – Sand Rock’s Olin Pruitt pitched a complete-game shutout of Collinsville on Thursday. He surrendered just three hits and four walks with four strikeouts in the Wildcats’ 3-0 victory.

Logan Wood led the Wildcats (4-1) at the plate by going 2-for-3 with a RBI. Slade St. Clair tripled, walked and drove in a run. Brian Giles doubled, walked and had a RBI. Jacob Cornejo collected a hit, a walk and a run. Austin Yoder added a hit and scored a run.

Dalton Hughes doubled to lead Collinsville’s offense. Jacob Jones and Colton Wills had the other two Panther hits. Jameson Coker walked twice. Carson Dennis and Austin Morgan both drew a walk apiece.

Keaton Deboard suffered the loss after working six innings. He gave up a pair of earned runs on seven hits with four walks and a strikeout.

Sand Rock hosts Cedar Bluff on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
