Alva Nell “Boots” Givens age 90 of Cedar Bluff passed away Wednesday March 10h at Cherokee Health & Rehab.

Funeral services will be 3 PM Friday March 12th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Melvyn Salter officiating.

Burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers include Johnny Bailey, Allen Stephens, Henry Ridley and Chris Dorsett.

Survivors include sons, Gary (Mary) Givens of Cedar Bluff and Jerry Givens of Cedar Bluff; son-in-law, LeRoy Hindman; two grandchildren, Jennifer Givens and Amy Hindman; two great-grandchildren, Chloe Givens and Emma Givens; and one great-great-grandson, Sawyer Slater.

Mrs. Givens was a native of Cherokee County and the daughter of the late Herman Lee and Doris Calhoun May and a member of Round Mt. Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to America Cancer Society or your favorite charity.
