Spring Garden baseball breezes past Cleburne County

SPRING GARDEN – Weston Kirk and Chaz Pope both homered to help the Spring Garden Panthers earn an 11-1 baseball win in five innings over visiting Cleburne County on Tuesday.

Ryley Kirk and Cam Welsh both had a pair of singles apiece for the Panthers (6-5). Kenneth Petty and Denver Jarrett also contributed a hit apiece. Jackson Maddox earned the win after tossing all five innings, giving up just three hits and a pair of walks.

Spring Garden hosts Jacksonville on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
