CENTRE – Alana Loyd belted three hits and scored three runs. She also picked up the win in the circle in leading the Cherokee County Lady Warriors to a 12-2 Class 4A, Area 9 softball win over Jacksonville on Tuesday.

Loyd tossed six innings and gave up two earned runs on six hits with a walk and eight strikeouts for the Lady Warriors (6-2).

Anna Walker contributed a pair of hits, including a double, with a run and two RBIs. Abby Lea also had two hits, two runs and a RBI. Lanie Williams homered and drove in a pair of runs. Karlee Perry posted a hit, two walks, two runs and a RBI. Grayson Tucker tallied a hit and two RBIs. McKinley Rouss had a hit and a RBI. Brylie McDaniel finished with a walk and a run.

Cherokee County travels to White Plains on Monday.
