US Marshals looking for kidnapping suspect, may have family in Gadsden area

Federal law enforcement are searching for a suspect in a kidnapping case who may have relatives in the Gadsden area.

According to the U.S. Marshals, John Henry Mack Jr., 43, is wanted for kidnapping a 33-year-old woman in Mansfield, Ohio. A warrant for his arrest was issued on Feb. 26.

The victim, identified as Melinda Kay Davis, has not been seen or heard from since Feb. 25.

U.S. Marshals described Mack as a 43-year-old black man, standing approximately 5’10” and weighing approximately 160 pounds.

Family, friends, and associates of Mack are reminded that providing assistance could result in criminal charges.

The Etowah County Sheriff’s office said Mack is believed to have relatives in the Gadsden area.
