Plainview boys too much for Collinsville in Class 3A boys basketball subregional

RAINSVILLE – The Plainview Bears connected on 15 3-pointers to end Collinsville’s basketball season with an 88-47 Class 3A boys basketball subregional victory on Wednesday.

Cole Millican led the way for the second-ranked Bears with 21 points, including five treys. Luke Smith tossed in 17 points, with three 3-pointers. Jathan Underwood added 12 points. Jonah Williams and Dylan Haymon both had 10 points.

Eli Butts and Ty Griggs finished with nine and seven points respectively.

Colton Wills topped Collinsville (6-17) with a game-high 22 points, including six treys. Malachi Orr contributed 12 points. Jacob Jones finished with 11 points, including three 3-pointers.

Plainview jumped out to a 31-13 advantage at the end of the first quarter and led 60-20 at halftime. The Bears held a 78-40 edge after three quarters.
