A 17 year old male was fatally injured in a single-vehicle accident near Gadsden on Friday.

The 2000 Toyota 4-Runner the teen was driving left the roadway, overturned and landed in a creek bank just after 3:00pm.  That wreck took place on Pleasant Hill Road, near Sanford Road, approximately a mile north of Gadsden.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division which is investigating the crash – determined that speed was a contributing factor.
