HARD FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO 11 AM CST TUESDAY…
* WHAT…Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 8 to 22 degrees
expected in the warning area.
* WHERE…All of Central Alabama except for southeast Central
Alabama.
* WHEN…From 9 PM this evening to 11 AM CST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS…Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other
sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected plumbing.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent
freezing and possible bursting of water pipes they should be
wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have in-
ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-ground
pipes to protect them from freezing.
