One Confirmed Dead And Four Others Hospitalized Following Single Vehicle Crash In Gaylesville

A single-vehicle crash in Gaylesville on Saturday night left one person dead, and four others injured.

That wreck took place on County Road 91 at the intersection of County Road 635, at around 10:00, with at least one person having to be extricated from the vehicle, and two others had been ejected. 

No additional information has been released regarding the condition of the four survivors – and the name of the deceased has yet to be released.

Members of the Gaylesville Fire Department, Cherokee County Rescue Squad, the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, Centre, Cedar Bluff and Leesburg Police officers, multiple units from Floyd EMS and the Cherokee County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene. 

The accident remains under investigation by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
