James Green age 84 of Centre passed away Wednesday February 10th at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
Graveside services will be 1 PM Friday February 12th at State Line Cemetery with Rev. Barry Rogers officiating. The family request that you wear a mask.
Pallbearers include Harry Davis, Bruce Johnson and Mike Ledbetter. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Benson, Pat Benson, Tommy Green, Charles Pledger and Steve Stefka.
Survivors include several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Pledger Green; brothers, Charles Green, Randolph Green, Earnest Green, Lewis Green and Monroe Green; sisters, Hazel Green Benson and Demeris Green Davis.
Mr. Green was a native of Cherokee County and the son of the late Charles William and Emmie Brock Green and was a member of Old Nazareth Baptist Church. He retired after 35 years working at Lindale Manufacturing in Lindale, Ga.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Old Nazareth Baptist Church.
