During that meeting, the council approved the minutes from the regular meetings held on January 12th and January 26th.
A motion was also passed approving the monthly bills for payment.
At the recommendation of Tommy Loder, Chairman of the Alcohol Review Board, the council approved a Restaurant, Class 1 Retail Liquor license for Easy Street which is located at 1605 West Main Street.
The council also opened sealed bids for a Boom Right of Way Mower and attachment. Two bids were submitted from Foothills Tractor and Equipment in the amount of $118,935.75 and from Ag-Pro in the amount of $139,465.42. That bid was awarded to Foothills Tractor in East Centre. This was a budgeted item.
At the recommendation of the Special Events Committee, the council approved the purchase of furnishings and appliances for the Armory Building in the amount of $82,574.06, this purchase will include tables, chairs and various other furniture in addition to appliances for the kitchen area.
At the recommendation of Councilwoman Kay Davis, also approved was the purchase of new spring banners for the downtown light poles in the amount $2,810 for 50 banners, this was also a budgeted item.
The purchase of 50 additional garbage cans was approved for the Streets and Sanitations Department, these will be used as part of an upcoming annexation.
The council also approved the purchase of new lights and siren for the Fire Departments Engine #11 at the recommendation of Fire Chief Jeremy Lee, this was a budgeted item.
