A Cherokee County man was recently arrested in neighboring DeKalb County on controlled substance charges. Sheriff Nick Welden reports that on Wednesday, January 27th – DeKalb County narcotics agents conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of 14th Street and Gault Avenue in Ft Payne.
A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, and at that point – both occupants were placed under arrest – Shayne Nikole Henegar, 22 of Collinsville and Dakota Storm Butler, age 26 from Centre, were charged with the Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, and with the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
