Alabama Adds More than 3,100 Cases of COVID-19 going from Tuesday into Wednesday

Alabama added more than 3,100 new COVID-19 cases going from Tuesday into Wednesday.

The Alabama Department of Public Health data released on Wednesday morning indicated that the state has 449,086 coronavirus cases – that’s up 3,177 from the day before.  The state added 276 deaths – some dating back several months – due to the review process, bringing that total to 7,172.  Hospitalizations dropped to 2,222.

Here in Cherokee County, according to the ADPH, we’ve now seen a total of 1,682 cases of COVID-19 – 1,103 confirmed, 579 listed as probable.  Countywide we’ve had a total of 35 deaths – with 27 confirmed as being COVID-related, and 8 listed as probable.
