Inmate Facing Additional Charges After Allegedly Attacking Jail Employees

An inmate at the Floyd County Jail, James Walter Busbin III, age 30 of Summerville, is facing additional charges after reportedly attacking two jail officers.

Reports indicated that Busbin hit a law enforcement officer in the face with a closed fist and also kicked a deputy in the chest.  He stands charged with two counts of Simple Battery Against a Police Officer, two counts of Obstruction, and one count of Unlawful Violence in a Penal Institution.

Busbin was originally jailed for acting disorderly and refusing to comply with officers at the Walmart store on Redmond Road.  He was placed under arrest and charged with Criminal Trespass, Disorderly Conduct and three counts of Obstruction of Law Enforcement.
