There was a two vehicle accident taking place at the intersection of the East Bypass and Alexis Road in Centre just before 2:00 Wednesday afternoon.
Centre Police, Centre Fire Department and Floyd EMS responded to the scene. According to Centre Fire Chief Jeremy Lee, two occupants of one of the vehicles involved were transported to Floyd-Cherokee Medical Center with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
