A Cherokee County man was arrested in West Rome Friday morning on a felony possession of methamphetamine charge.
According to Floyd County Jail reports, 34 year old James Carl Hackett II, of Cedar Bluff, was arrested near the intersection of the Alabama Highway and Intervale Road, after reportedly being found in possession of a bag containing suspected methamphetamine.
Hackett admitted the bag was his. That officer also recovered a glass smoking pipe from his clothing.
Hackett is charged with felony Possession of Methamphetamine and a misdemeanor count of Possession of Drug Related Objects.
