ALEXANDRIA – Slade Alexander netted a game-high 26 points, but they weren’t enough for the Cherokee County Warriors at Alexandria on Tuesday night. The Warriors fell by the final of 64-57.
Nas Diamond delivered 13 points for the Warriors (7-8). Landan Williams topped Alexandria with 20 points. Javais McGhee added 16 points. Julian Wright finished with 11 points.
The game was tight throughout. The Valley Cubs led 13-12 at the end of the first quarter, but the Warriors took a 30-29 edge at halftime. Alexandria built a 46-42 advantage at the end of the third quarter and held on down the stretch for the win.
