Rome Woman Arrested After Allegedly Pointing Gun at Two Teenagers

A reported case of road rage landed a Rome woman behind bars over the weekend.

According to Floyd County Jail records on Saturday 43 year old Shawnta Nicole Jackson was attempting to pass another vehicle on Martha Berry Boulevard at West 10th Street and was unable to do so safely.  As a result, Jackson’s vehicle left the roadway.

She allegedly got out, pointed a gun at the teenage driver of the other vehicle, and a teenage passenger inside, and allegedly stated “You’d better call 9-1-1, because someone is going to die.”  Fortunately, no one was hurt during the incident.

Jackson was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault, 1st Degree Cruelty to Children and Improper Passing.
