Alabama Adds Almost 2,500 New Cases of COVID-19 Going from Saturday into Sunday

The number of new COVID-19 cases in Alabama continues to soar.

The Alabama Department of Public Health data released Sunday morning showed that the state added 2,476 cases going from Saturday into Sunday; that brought the total number of cases since March 13th to 371,934.  The state also added one death for a new total of 4,873.

Meanwhile, in Cherokee County, according to the ADPH, we’ve seen a total of 1,438 cases of COVID-19 since March 13th – 983 confirmed, 455 listed as probable; countywide we’ve had a total of 22 deaths, with 19 of those confirmed as COVID-related and 3 listed as probable.
