Rand Alan Frink

Rand Alan Frink of Centre, passed away on 12/18/20 after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia.

Rand was born 10/11/49 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, but was a Cherokee County resident for many years.    He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Shirley Frink, his son Gabriel, his daughter Amy, his sister Sherry, and several dear friends.

He was survived by his wife Sharron, of Centre, son Joshua and his wife Alicia, granddaughters Autumn and Sasha Frink; one sister, Jill Frink, one brother, Rory Frink, along with sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Betty and Brady Barrows of Centre.

Rand lived in New England, California and then Florida, where he married Sharron Mashburn in 1972.  They moved to New Mexico in 1974.  In 1985 they moved back to Sharron’s home, Cherokee County, Alabama, where he established his business, Custom Wood Floors, which he ran until moving in 2001.  After living in both South Carolina and North Carolina, they moved back to Centre in 2018.

Rand was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and served as an elder for 35 years, until his death.  He set a good example by providing comfort to his fellow Christians and sharing the Bible’s promises with many people. 

His Memorial Service was held as an online Zoom meeting on 12/26/20, and was attended by over 200 people.  He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by many.

ProHealth Hospice provided extraordinary care, concern and practical help during the last months of his life, and his family will be forever grateful to these wonderful, compassionate people.
