Joe John Williams, age 80 of Centre, passed away Tuesday, December 22nd at his residence.
A graveside service will be held at 11:AM Saturday, January 2nd at Cherokee Memory Gardens with Rev. Eddie Nation and Rev. Jan Stanley officiating.
Pallbearers include Jeremy Waver, Caleb Whorton, Josh Ellison, Tyler Phillips, Toby Dyer, Zach Ellison, Austin Hightower, Tyler Grogan, Jake Grogan, John Rhodes.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Ann Williams; sons, Virgil (Laura) Penland of Cedartown, GA, Jack (Jamie) Stargell of Centre, Charlie (Dana) Penland of Texas; daughter-in-law, Sherry Stargell; daughters, Brenda (Chris) Whorton of Centre, Tammy (Steve) Harris of Centre; sister, Doris Wright of Cullman; 18 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robin Stargell; daughters, Rhonda Vance, Christy Penland; brother, Albert Williams; sisters, Maulin, Parlee and Ruby.
Mr. Williams was a native of Jackson County, the son of the late Albert Floyd and Mary Pearl Williams and was a member of Centre Church Of God.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home for funeral expenses.
