Firefighters Rescue A Paraglider From A Tree

On Saturday, the Southside Fire Department responded to a paraglider accident. Firefighters arrived to find a male that was suspended by the parachute cords about 25-30 feet above the ground.

The Rainbow City Fire Department was requested for their ladder truck, high angle rescue techs and equipment. Using the ladder truck platform, they were able to safely remove the victim from the tree.

The man suffered a minor leg injury and was transported to a local hospital for evaluation by A-Med Ambulance Service.
