Cherokee Electric Co-op Manager Randal Wilkie said that a truck loaded with trusses snagged and broke a power pole near American Apparel in Centre on Friday morning. Although the pole broke, fortunately the lines managed to stay connected and no one was without power.
It took crews an extended period of time to make the necessary repairs. Centre Police assisted with traffic while crews were resetting the pole.
