Skyline sweeps basketball games at Cedar Bluff

CEDAR BLUFF – The Cedar Bluff Tigers lost a varsity basketball doubleheader Thursday night to visiting Skyline. The girls fell by the final of 68-13 while the boys dropped a 60-29 decision.

In the girls game, the Lady Vikings jumped out to a 23-6 first-quarter advantage and didn’t look back.

Aiden Bellamy led Skyline with 23 points. Grace Rowell added 15 points. Lexie Stucky finished with 11 points and 15 rebounds.

Jordyn Walker led the Lady Tigers with six points. Za’niya Kyle finished with four points and 11 rebounds.

In the boys game, Jaylon Clements led three Vikings in double figures with 16 points. He also grabbed 10 boards. Curtis Knoppe added 14 points and 11 rebounds. Weston Avans finished with 12 points and seven rebounds.

Bucky Leek topped the Tigers with eight points. Jacob Burleson rang for seven points. He also grabbed five rebounds. Anbre Leek and Connor Flynt both finished with six points. Anbre Leek also had 11 rebounds.

Cedar Bluff travels to Collinsville on Friday.
