DeKalb County Sheriff Nick Welden said of the incident: “This is definitely some GREAT work that took tough, long hours being put in from our deputies, DTF and surrounding agencies from one end of our county to the other. Often the hard work goes unnoticed. The public doesn’t realize what all is lurking just down the road, but this definitely shows who is out and about doing their best to protect our kids from the poison that’s out there. It’s sad when you see such drugs as heroin surfacing in our communities and county but knowing the caliber of men and women we have in DeKalb County who wear that heavy badge are leading the front line battle against drugs, is definitely reassuring in my eyes. Please keep these men and women in your prayers. They all need all the prayers they can get and the (Whole Armor of GOD) for what they are up against.”
