The Class 1A, Region 7 football coaches recently selected their All-Region team.
Region champion Valley Head (8-3) led the team in selections with 10 selections, including Offensive Most Valuable Player Jordan Burt (190 carries, 1,582 yards, 20 TDs; 16-of-24 passing, 433 yards, 7 TDs) and Coach of the Year Heath Vincent.
Sumiton Christian’s Tyler Ingle (134 tackles, 18 for loss, 4 caused fumbles, 3 interceptions) earned the Defensive Most Valuable Player honor.
Region runner-up Cedar Bluff (6-5) had seven selections and two honorable mention players. Anbre Leek, Corey Teague, Marcus McKinney, Preston Burt, Jacob Burleson, Nick Clifton and Bucky Leek were chosen from the Tigers. Dylan Kinard and Jacob Stowe claimed honor mention.
The Gaylesville Trojans (4-5) had four selections in DJ Lee, Briley Mitchell, Michael Reynolds and Keylon Higgins.
Also chosen from Valley Head is Bryson Morgan, Luke Harrison, Pacey Cooper, Eian Bain, Hayden Fletcher, Levi Demarco, Roger McMahan and Noah Hulgan.
Representing Woodville (5-6) is Carlos Torres, Josh Thompson, Easton Parker, Brice Thompson, Damyon Reid and Cam Talley.
Christian Hyche, Griffin Myers, Jordon Robertson, Eli Moon and Jack McDonald join Ingle from Sumiton Christian (6-5).
Representing Appalachian (2-7) is Chase Payne, Bryson Seawright and Joey Williams. Isiah Cole and Evan Delp were chosen from Coosa Christian (3-7).
