Lester W. “Billy” Perry, age 75 of Cedar Bluff passed away Friday, December 4th at his residence.
Funeral services will be 2:30 PM Monday, December 7th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clay Moreland, Rev. Jim VanPelt and Rev. Kelvin Price officiating; burial will follow in Faith Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 PM Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Brooks Atkinson, Brandon Carter, Scott Bohannon, Brian Wilkerson, Bill Trammell and Larry Mormon.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, The love of his life, Carol Perry; sister, Nancy McCarly of Tuscaloosa; children, Jeffery Perry, Michael Perry of Sulligent, Ricky (Carol) Perry of Sulligent and Tammy (Kelvin) Price of Sulligent; step-children, Rhonda (Brian) Wilkerson and Scott (Melissa) Bohannon; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; special friend & caregiver, Karen Davenport.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Jo Perry.
Mr. Perry was a native of Winfield, he was the son of the late Lester O. and Violet Thorton Perry and was loved by all. Mr. Perry was retired from maintenance work, he loved the outdoors and wildlife…and he especially loved the North Georgia Mountains, electronics and carpentry.
Billy loved children which led him to be a foster parent for Alabama Mentors for over twenty years, caring for numerous children
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the family will accept flowers.
