High-Speed Chase Lands Georgia Woman in Jail in Cherokee County

A Georgia woman is currently residing in the Cherokee County Detention Center, following a high speed chase during the overnight hours.

Cave Spring Police were pursuing a vehicle into Alabama on Highway 411 – when Cherokee County Deputy Daniel Holcomb attempted to stop the car; the driver refused to pull over as the chase continued toward the Leesburg Bridge where Centre Police successfully deployed spike strips, bringing the vehicle to a halt.

At that point, Deputy Holcomb took the driver, Annagail Lee Rowe, age 22 of Lawrenceville, Georgia, into custody – charging her with Attempting to Elude, with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, DUI, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

She was booked into jail just prior to 2:00am with bond being set at $4,000.
