Funeral service for Mrs. Gwendolyn Brown Usry, age 89, of Centre will be held privately by the family at Slackland Baptist Church with Brother David Bankson officiating. Entombment will follow the service in Cherokee Memory Gardens Mausoleum. There will be no visitation

Mrs. Usry passed away on November 22, 2020. She is preceded in death by her husband: Charles D. Usry; parents: Roy and Gladys Brown, brothers: Graham Brown and Orin Brown; sisters: Maxine Knighten and Runette Hester.

left to cherish her memories are her sons: John (Mary) Usry and Jerry Lynn Usry; grandchildren: Angela Usry East, Kimberly Usry (John) Carothers, Matthew (Ann Marie) Usry; Jessica Usry (JJ) TarTarini; 3 great-grandchildren; sister: Alline Brown (Junior) Davis; brother: Dwight (Mary Ellen) Brown; numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Usry was the oldest member of Slackland Baptist Church, was church treasury for over 45 years, was training union teacher, active in WMU, and loved her flower garden.
