GADSDEN – Audrey Green led three Cherokee County Lady Warriors in double figures with 17 points in a 65-40 season-opening basketball victory at Class 6A Southside of Gadsden.
Karlee Perry collected 11 points for the Lady Warriors (1-0). Ella Garmany finished with 10 points.
In boys’ action, Southside claimed a 53-42 win over the Warriors.
Connor Elrod led Cherokee County (0-1) with 19 points, including three 3-pointers. Nas Diamond delivered nine points.
