Sue Bowman

Sue Bowman age 87 of Collinsville passed away Friday November 6th at Floyd Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 3 PM Thursday November 12th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Dan Clanton and Rev. Ted Elrod officiating, burial will follow in New Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 PM Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Dewitt Cox, Gary Cox, Evan Morgan, Marshall Walk, Tyler Bowman and Max Payton. Honorary pallbearer will be Corey Ferguson.

Survivors include son, Bruce (Teresa) Bowman; daughter, Brenda Bowman Bryan; sisters-in-law, Ruby (Bill) Walk and Vickie Cox; grandchildren, Tyler Bowman, Kelly (Corey) Ferguson and Lauren (Evan) Morgan; great-grandchildren, Lucas, Liam and Emily Morgan and Grace Bowman; special niece, Maggie (Colin) Masters; nieces, Beverly Walk and Teresa (Ricky) Calaway; nephew, Marshall Wayne (Becky) Walk; chosen daughter, Jeannie Payton; several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.L. Bowman; son, Mike Bowman; brothers, Roy and Jack Cox; nephew, Bubba Cox and son-in-law, Jim Bryan.

Mrs. Bowman was a native of Collinsville and the daughter of the late Virgil Amos and Maggie Ann Cox and was of the Baptist Faith.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to New Bethel Cemetery Fund. The family requests no food please.

Special thanks to Max and Jeannie Payton who totally took over the daily care of our mother when we weren’t able to be there for her. We Love You more than words could ever say!!
