Lawrence James Steele age 69 of Ft Payne, passed away Friday, November 6th at his residence.
A graveside service will be held at 10:AM Monday, November 9th at Walker’s Chapel Cemetery, with Bro. Shay Wells officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:PM Sunday, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Adam Steele, Joey Steele, Keith Steele, Russ Brazio, Austin Brozio, Michael Ledford
Survivors include his wife Linda Royce “Ashley” Steele; son, Lawrence James (Crystal) Steele, Jr and Thomas Emmitt Steele; daughters, Tammy Lynn (Herman) Brozio, Angela Marie Laws, Tracy Renee (Michael) Ledford; sisters, Janice Woo, Ann Price; 17 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by brothers, a son-in-law, Jerrod Lynn Laws; daughter, Patricia Ann Norris; brothers, Tracy Steele, Stevie Steele, Terry Steele, Ronald Steele and a grandson, Thomas Devon Norris.
Mr. Steele was a native of Florida, the son of the late Thomas Carlyle Steele, Jr. and Gracie Mae Pointer Steele and was of the Baptist faith.
