HUNTSVILLE – The Sand Rock girls and boys cross country teams both finished fourth in the Class 1A-2A Section 4 Meet in Huntsville on Thursday. The Lady Wildcats had an overall time of 2:05:33.65 and were led by Maggie Hester’s fourth-place time of 23:04.90.
The Wildcat boys came in with a time of 1:42:45.08, led by Caleb Yoder’s fifth-place time of 19:08.25. Cedar Bluff’s Austin Richardson finished fourth individually with a time of 19:03.55.
Both the Sand Rock girls and boys teams qualify for the state meet, to be held in Moulton on Nov. 14.
