Centre Woman Arrested For Drug Possession In The Parking Lot Of A Leesburg Business

A 33 year old Centre woman was arrested Monday following a complaint about a female possibly involved in drug activity in the parking lot of a Leesburg business, just a few feet away from the Leesburg Police Station.

According to Leesburg Police Investigator Jamie Chatman, he and Officer Hunter Brisendine immediately arrived and observed the female inside a vehicle in the parking lot. Officers searched a purse that the suspect had given to a juvenile to hold for her and found inside it narcotics/methamphetamine in addition to Suboxone strips.

Tiffany Lynn Motes was arrested on two counts of the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and taken to the Cherokee County Detention Center and later released after posting a $5000 bond.

Chatman said during the incident, a second juvenile was left inside the Sarrell Dental Clinic.
