On Monday’s episode of The Voice, Worth The Wait from Centre secured a spot on Team Blake by singing Linda Ronstadt’s “When Will I Be Loved.”

Local supporters, family members and fans gathered with the girls from the group at the Gridiron in Centre for a watch party on Monday night.

This mother-daughter trio originally consisted of three sisters called the Matthews Sisters. The sisters started an impromptu performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner” in line at a store one day and an onlooker posted a video of it that went viral. The video catapulted them to popularity and has helped them start booking local gigs. Once the oldest sister, Sadie, left the group to care for her newborn son, their mom took her place and the trio became, Worth the Wait. The girls come to “The Voice” to have fun, but are also planning to prove they’re a triple threat.

The Voice airs on NBC 13 locally at 7:00 p.m. on Monday’s.
