According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, Chief Deputy Josh Summerford and Investigator Michael Green assisted the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday during President Trump’s visit to Rome, Georgia.

Sheriff Shaver said, “it’s an historic event anytime a sitting President visits your area and we were excited for our Office to be able to participate.

We appreciate the strong relationship we have with Floyd County and appreciate this opportunity extended by Sheriff Burkhalter.”
