During the regular meeting of the Cherokee County Commission Meeting on Monday, the Commission entered into an Executive Session for the purpose of discussing the sale/purchase of property.

On Tuesday, County Administrator Daniel Steele informed us that the Commission reconvened and Commissioner Marcie Foster made a motion with a second by Commission Roger Nichols to authorize Chairman Tim Burgess and County Attorney Bill Hawkins to enter into negotiations to purchase a parcel of land. 

No specific details were made available regarding the purchase. We will provide an update as additional information is released.
