The National Weather Service says there is the potential for an early cold snap coming around the 1st of October.
With many having a lot of agricultural projects still going on and this cold snap could be an issue especially for those in the northern half of the state.
This snap has the potential to be the first freeze in the north with frost in the south.
Use a frost blanket, cloche or row cover material – not plastic — to insulate the ground around your outdoor plants and keep them warm. Prop the cover with sticks or stakes to keep it from coming into direct contact with the new growth. And, make sure to remove the cover the next morning after the temperature warms up.
