According to Cherokee County Central Dispatch – fire trucks and law enforcement vehicles are on the scene, with clean up being done on the Chesnut Bypass – between CVS Pharmacy and Franklin Print.
Fire trucks are washing down the highway in that area due to some type of spillage, reportedly consisting of concrete residue.
Everyone should slow down – as traffic lanes are partially blocked at this time – it’s unclear how long the cleanup will take.
